Congratulations to Holly Fritsche

2017 Surgical Technologist of the Year!!!

Holly, who currently works at Community Hospital in McCook, has been a Certified Surgical technologist as well as a member of AST for over 25 years.  She is a regular attendee of Nebraska State Assembly workshops no matter where they are located and is a strong advocate for certification as well as involvement in the state assembly.  Holly often serves as a preceptor for students and is also responsible for orienting all new employees to the operating room in her facility including nurses and surgical technologists showing them the appropriate way to perform required skills utilizing best practice techniques and adhering to the highest safety standards.  Holly's strengths are described as being centered on her dedication to her patients in ensuring the highest standards of safety and aseptic technique in all situations.  She is identified as dedicated, passionate, committed, patient centered and caring.  She is a strong advocate for the profession of surgical technology in her facility and her community and has even stood up to the management of her facility asking that personnel serving as surgical technologists that do not possess formal education not be given the same title as those who have fomal education and certified.  

Congratulations Holly!!  Thank you for your continued dedication to your patients and the profession of Surgical Technology!

This pre-conference event will provide you with a hands-on experience dedicated to practitioners sharing together to strengthen our state assembly foundation. This event is an opportunity to learn more about the state assembly system and access the wealth of information that is available to you.
